This week’s pattern is “Reindeer + Snow” and it’s inspired by, well, reindeer and snow. We had a pretty good snowfall last week which is kind of unusual so early in the season, but I absolutely welcomed it with open arms. I actually had a hard time getting work done because I kept looking out the window. There is just something awesome about the first snow of the season. I don’t think I could ever move somewhere where snow wasn’t a possibility. I guess in that way I am still like a little kid. I thought that as I grew older the thought of shoveling would overpower my wish for a snow storm. Sometimes it does, but most of the time my anticipation for the possible flurries is just exciting and cannot be overcome by anything. Especially since now we live in an apartment where the snow is shoveled for us. That is always a huge bonus.

Your patterns are so beautiful. Do you offer them as fabric by any chance?
Hi Mary! I do offer some of my fabrics at Spoonflower. http://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/joylaforme I have been adding more of them over time, so if you’d like a specific one, just let me know!
I don’t mean to be technical…but I think that’s actually a reindeer! Which is exactly why I’m including a link here in my Reindeer Week roundup tomorrow:) Love your patterns, Joy!
You are SO allowed to be technical, especially when you are 100% right. This is what happens when you take the girl out of the city. I thought reindeer were a myth until last year, so I always think they are moose. Seriously, what in the world, haha!
